It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction…

Just ran 4.64 miles in 49 minutes, 18 seconds (according to my X300 – I’ve managed to mess up the calibration on my Forerunner 50 :( ) at a pace of 10:37.

Very happy with that.

I’ve been watching your progress, because I’m going through the same process.

I think the most important part is that last sentence, because if you’re not happy then it’s pointless training, or rather, you won’t get as much out of it.

I take my Forerunner 305 along on all my runs, and whilst it can do many many things, the two things I look at are my heart rate (when I’m working hard) and also the pace.

Not that I live by those two measurements, first and foremost it has to be fun, because I’m happy in the knowledge that eventually the heart rate will drop and the pace will increase.

Now if only I had some of your hills close by….

    Cie,

Thanks for comments, and you’re spot on with your advice/approach.
